I was threatened with jail ti.e if i did not purchase a federal voucher online when as a disabled veteran of USMC i havent filed taxes since 2011. I told then it was a scam he got upset & said the sheriff will be at my door in 15 minutes as soon as he signed the warrant. Well im still waiting!!!!
Got a call from them this morning. Choppy recorded message advising that after audit they discovered "misconduct" on my taxes and hiding (something) from the federal govt. I was very nervous until I realized we haven't done taxes yet (I know, stop procrastinating!) Glad to find out what's really going on.
Said he was with the IRS - said I have filed my taxes fraudulently for last 5 years. I told him my accountant has done my taxes for the past 20 years. He said "oh really - I will send police office to your door". I said - OK - I'll have a bottle of wine waiting for them. He hung up.
Got a call from 786-209-0538, left message on my answering machine, said he was Officer xxx from the IRS.........hung up, and blocked this number on my phone. But have blocked other numbers they are calling from and they just get a new number
