I first received a call from this Melissa Dunlap about a month ago, claiming that WRA had assumed ownership of an online payday loan I defaulted on. She called not only me, but my mother and a friend of mine. I told her to cease and desist, and that she would need to send me some documentation of this alledged debt. I also informed her that I had given her contact information to the FTC as whoever she is, she was in violation of the fair debt collection act.
My husband received a call today. Ms. Dunlap inplied to him that she had document sent to me by courier and that there are two claims pending against me. I let my husband know this is some sort of scam and that I had received calls from her before.
I got a call from these jokers, really couldn't understand the beginning of the conversation (on my voice mail) or who they were asking for (2 different voices). This person (A middle age white chubby motorcycle kind of guy voice) called as a track driver who already picked up my car and asked for a deposit and then when I refused he demanded a lot of money and if I don't send him that he would take my car. A car that he didn't get a hold of. I guess he got my number from online because a day prior I filled out an online quote for a transportation company to transport my car to a different state. I will report this to a police too.
