I'm 45 and disabled so I'm sure that's how they got my #. I never answer but I keep getting transcribed voice messages that they're trying to save me money blah blah blah. Same script as everyone else's story. Just FYI: 1. Tell them to put you on THEIR "Internal" Do Not Call Registry 2. Register your number on the National DNC Registry 3. File complaint with FTC (Federal Trade Commission) or Sue 4. Block robo calls with Free a Apps on Cell Phone
Just adding to the comments on this page because I want you to know that although there are MANY companies out there which are out to take peoples money or personal information, Social Service Coordinators is NOT one of them. My mom has been on the Medicare insurance for 12 years now but has always struggled financially to pay her medical bills, I try to help her out when I can but I've got a family of my own. With SSC help we were able to sign my mom up for her State Medicare Savings Program that helps her pay for some of her out-of-pocket medical expenses. You don't have to take my word for it give them a call yourself or look them up on the internet.
If you don't want to give out your information then don't. Social Service Coordinators process is very simple, with a brief phone screening they will determine your eligibility for State Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs) that can help pay your Medicare Parts A and B premiums, coinsurance and deductibles. It may also pay some of your health plan co-payments, and if you qualify they will help you with the enrollment process, it's that easy.
This phone number actually is legit- it's a number for the call center at Social Service Coordinators.
I'm glad they called as Social Service Coordinators is a company that assists Medicare beneficiaries in enrolling into various social advocacy programs which just happens to be what we need right now with a very tight budget and several medical bills that need paying.
Social Service Coordinators is an Altegra Health company-
SSC offers State Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs) that helps Medicare members get help paying for Medicare Parts A and B premiums, coinsurance and deductibles.
