I'm 45 and disabled so I'm sure that's how they got my #. I never answer but I keep getting transcribed voice messages that they're trying to save me money blah blah blah. Same script as everyone else's story. Just FYI: 1. Tell them to put you on THEIR "Internal" Do Not Call Registry 2. Register your number on the National DNC Registry 3. File complaint with FTC (Federal Trade Commission) or Sue 4. Block robo calls with Free a Apps on Cell Phone
I got a call from 786-300-4081 and didn't answer.
They left me a voicemail that only contained garbled
Employees chatter in the background. I called them and
they answered the phone as "social services for Ca." same
as the previous poster said, so she says how can I help you?
I told her I'm calling back this # ..she asked for my
#..(i didn't give her) I told her I'm not even from California ..to which she replied
" we are not calling from California" I Hung up. Geez
Got 2 calls from this number; told them they had wrong # (person they asked for did not pronounce my name correctly and I also changed it after divorce..... I was in fact the person they were looking for but get the name right for crying out loud.). the second time I said "Hey, why are you calling here, what's this about?" and the woman said that she would remove my number from their "list".... I am even on the Do NOT CALL Registry... go figure.
Rec'd 2 calls from 786-300-4081. They call themselves Social Services Coordinator based in Florida. They said they're working for my health insurance company, and needed me to verify my name, date of birth and soc sec #. My suggestion to anybody getting these calls ... tell them the person they're asking for has died.
I received a call from 786-300-4081 today on my cell phone (which is on the "no call list". They asked to speak with (my mother's name). I asked who they were and they wouldn't say they kept asking me if I was (my mother's name). I kept asking who they were and they hung up. My mother is 86 years old I'm going to assume it is some sort of scam...not sure how they got my cell number.
