do not answer these calls they are scam artist with heavy accents from india and they have your ssn from pay day loans saying that they you owe them money and threaten to have the police come arrest you, and that you have a warrant out for your arrest and thay will say its there 3rd attempt to contact you they will call you from multiple area codes 916-786 beware it is a scam!!1
Received an email from somebody with the name "Julian Marshall" claiming to be a Senior Attorney with FINCEN Lawfirm stating that I'm to be brought up on charges for bank & check fraud in regards to non-payment of a payday loan...Threatened to have my job contacted to request termination, unless I called this number "IMMEDIATELY" for his help...I didn't call, I turned around and reported the email to FINCEN.gov, the US regulatory cite. The email was all broken English and barely coherent, so it set off a red light as far as it being SPAM...
I received an email with this number being the call back number. The email stated that I was being charged with several charges related to non-payment of a payday loan. It also stated that my work would be contacted and I would be terminated and that I could be asked to pay over $100,000. The grammar and punctuation was incorrect and words were misspelled, which made me suspicious.
I also looked up "Fincen Law Firm," the law firm mentioned in the email. The name mentioned as a senior attorney for this firm as the contact person is Stefan Franklin, but there is no one listed on the letterhead by that name.
I did not call the number since the letter itself seemed to be written by someone who doesn't know English well and I don't think a law firm would send a letter with so many mistakes in it. My attorney has also told me that a law firm wouldn't send an email to anyone for the purpose of collecting a debt.
Ha! Love google!! I just got the same exact email! There were misspelled words and broken English throughout the email and I'm pretty sure the courts wouldn't send an email let along one that is written like this one.
