THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE. From what I've read on this thread:
1. People are asked for money *before* they get a loan. This is *ILLEGAL* and called the advance-fee scam http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel16.shtm which states: "It is illegal for companies doing business in the U.S. by phone to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver."
2. People are asked for their bank account info so they get billed for crap subscriptions. Am guessing the website application has pre-checked boxes for the scammers to bang crap subscriptions on your accounts. If you fail to find and uncheck those boxes, you'll be hit with crap charges but you shouldn't even go to the website.
3. There's no telling what malware could be on that sh*t website. There may be drive-by downloads that will automatically try to install malware on your computer when you get there even though you don't click on anything so it's best to *never* go to that website.
4. These nonsensical short posts by merna fjelstad, sherry, betty miller and Robert Shelton may be scammer posts to push negative comments further down the page.
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE.
Any payday loan company that says they will take you to court is breaking the law, at least in Oklahoma and several surrounding states. Check the laws in your state, they may be the same.
In Oklahoma it is against the law to threaten any type of legal action in connection with a collection attempt on a unsecured payday loan.
I was getting calls like this from another company, told them to send me the original loan documents for me to determine if I did owe them money, told the person on the phone that until I get those documents I would not talk to them any longer.
Have not heard from them since that conversation.
Don't let these SCAMMERS walk all over you or try to scare you. They have no ground to stand on and are only trying to get you to pay on something that either does not exist or you already paid off and they are trying to collect on a second time.
Boo: Don't sweet it. Just standard scare tactics. Someone called my Wife and then Me, tried the same thing. In most states it is against the law for them to threaten You in any way when they are attempting to collect a payday loan.
If they call again, try what I did. I told the person to send me the original documents, as the loan He was calling about was over one year ago. Told the person that unless they could send those too me, I would not talk to him, he continued to try and say something as I was hanging up the phone. The upside, never got a call from them again.
Also, keep track of phone calls, so You can tell who is calling you. Will help ease the frustration in some ways.
