THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE. From what I've read on this thread:
1. People are asked for money *before* they get a loan. This is *ILLEGAL* and called the advance-fee scam http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel16.shtm which states: "It is illegal for companies doing business in the U.S. by phone to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver."
2. People are asked for their bank account info so they get billed for crap subscriptions. Am guessing the website application has pre-checked boxes for the scammers to bang crap subscriptions on your accounts. If you fail to find and uncheck those boxes, you'll be hit with crap charges but you shouldn't even go to the website.
3. There's no telling what malware could be on that sh*t website. There may be drive-by downloads that will automatically try to install malware on your computer when you get there even though you don't click on anything so it's best to *never* go to that website.
4. These nonsensical short posts by merna fjelstad, sherry, betty miller and Robert Shelton may be scammer posts to push negative comments further down the page.
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE.
Hey Robert.. this is 800notes you idiot! People come here to report calls from unknown numbers. You cannot complete your 7000% APR loan here. However, if you go to www.stupid-fing-moron.com, you should be able to finish your application there.
I got the call also...today at supper time. Could not throughly understand the guy calling me. I had applied for an online loan from a reputable bank in my area. Apparently they got their info. from the internet. Like a fool, I thought it was the people I applied with and gave them my routing number and my account information. Wells Fargo takes care of their clients however. When I called my bank, the lady changed my account number and told me to be very careful that the bank has had a lot of problems with these cash now and payday loan people. I will never make that mistake again. I hope this bit of information helps someone that may get the same call as the rest of us have already gotten. Please do not give out your bank information to anyone. Like the one guy said. If you have to pay up front before getting the money it has got to be a scam.
