Complain to your Senators and Representatives every time you receive an unwanted call until they pass legislation to stop this.
The only long term solution is Federal legislation that requires all telephone service providers to include a feature that allows the customer to block calls that require a caller to manually enter a PIN (personal Identification number) before the call can be completed.
This won’t happen until our Senators and Representatives get tired of hearing their constituents complain. Prepare a stick letter from you that you can email every time.

Called and launched into a full court press pitch for giving to The Fireman's Charity Foundation. Was pushing to send me some stickers for $12. I asked a couple of questions, which he answered off of a script. I then asked what % of contributions go to program, and he said 12%. I said wait.........did you just tell me that if I give $1.00, that 12 cents goes to program and the rest to marketing? He said yes, so I told him I was not interested.
