save his number & set the ring tone for it to a silent ring tone . . . best chance of getting them to go away is to make them think your number is inactive by not answering it . . . they go directly to the voice mail and all I get is the chirp saying "Scammer XYZ" called . I know who it is and I don't have to acknowledge them.
This is one of those typical scams where they call and claim to be with Microsoft and they've detected something very wrong with your computer. I could hardly understand the guy, he had such a thick Indian accent. He wanted me to go into my control panel and show me the problem, then he would fix it. Uh-huh. I'm well aware of how these things work - they connect to you remotely then all hell breaks loose and they want you to pay. Google this phone number, there are numerous complaints and they're located in Florida.
