Called my elderly mother and told her the same thing. That his name was Ryan Coleman and that he was from the Dept of Treasury and that she was in big trouble.
Same thing. I've got a message from the man with strong foreign accent saying he is from the Department of Legal Affairs. He called himself Shonan (or something like that). He suggested that I call him back that he has an attorney to assist me with legal matter.
New scamming technique I guess.
message that there was some sort of claim against me so I called back and it was an Indian guy who said he was with the legal dept with the IRS and that the IRS is filing a suite against me on 3 charges for 2012 taxes and proceed to tell me there were over 200 tax forms to file and that I need an attorney. I told him I'd talk to my accountant and that I knew nothing about. He said I owed $5900 and if I didn't pay and they had to file a lawsuit the charges and fees would be $29,000. I told him to just file it and send me the paper work. I stewed over it for several hours and called back and got a different Indian and I told him the issue about the other guy and he said something slightly different in that the IRS had sent me a letter and after no reply sent an IRS agent to our house and since no one was home they were filing charges to fraud. I told him to then go ahead and send me the original IRS letter and he claimed he noted it and that I should receive it next week. Scam City
Fellow with an Indian accent called and said he was from the legal dept. of the US treasury and that there was a legal action against me. He wanted information about my lawyer. I hung up...

This is a scam. They called me and gave me this number to call back. They said there was a legal action against me and I needed to call back or they would send their lawyers on me.
