I got the same call. I told them I was also recording the call. He said that's fine. I will be contacted by the local authorities in an hour. We will see. I believe this is a scam. Why would the IRS operate in Miami for fraud? Also, why wouldn't I get a certified letter first? And what about a badge number, case number or address and phone number to follow up with down the road? Do they think I'm an idiot?
I didn't answer but I did call the number back. The man said the $3000 loan I wanted was approved and ready for me to receive. I told him I did not apply for a loan that I did not want his money and never call me again. Lets hope he listens and don't call back.
I got a call from them saying I'm approved for a loan and right away I knew it was a scam so I posted along for a bit and now they will not so callin . They call me every 20 mins or so. I called them at one point asking if they would like a loan and told them they were pre-approved. The guy played along and then I told him I'm not very good with the details and then asked him if he could give me a loan and he said he doesn't sell loans only conditions. I called the company that they were claiming to be and they said they got the FBI involved. So hopefully they catch these [***].
Received a call this morning from 786-462-5170 & the person said I was approved for a $30,000 loan. It was a prerecorded message. I hung up. His accent leads me to believe he is outside of the US. This is a scam & I've reported it. Don't anyone fall for these calls. The authorities told me the call very well could be outside of the US but the scammers are able to acquire a phone number with a US area code.
The phone calls start at 7:00 in the morning and continue throughout the day..like 12 times! No message ever and when I call back I get a weird silence with a machine in the background.
