Just received the call & message. Indian man stating his name was Steve Martin. He never said who he was calling for? He said that he was calling in regards to an enforcement action executed by the US Treasury and that failing to respond would mean having to appear before a magistrate judge and/or a grand jury for a Federal, criminal offense. He stated that is it advised to cooperate with them so that they can help?
Yeaaaaa riiiiight-Could this be any more fake!? Egads-I really hate these low life, scum sucking, scammers. I wish there was someway to find & prosecute these people although I know they are hiding out in some boiler room call center in Calcutta. Banchut!
For now, I guess phone number block will have to do!
Same drill as mentioned above... left VM, didn't say who they were trying to reach. Said that they were with the treasury department. If I didn't call them back, they would turn me over to a magistrate for processing. Thank goodness for Verizon's free number blocking.
