Getting a call from "Florida" every day, for 2 weeks. Wasn't picking up, accidentally did today, but nobody on other end. So I called back, said it was Direct Energy and I told them to stop calling. Apparently I am now on their do not call list
I live in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Receive call from this "florida" number numerous times. Sometimes the caller ID just shows the phone number. I finally answered few weeks back and a guy claiming to be from direct energy offering promotion. I declined as I am with another provider and in a year contract. I still get calls every day around 3:30 pm or 4:30. Recieved call yesterday and answered and no one replied to my hello. I stated that i already declined there offer and to stop calling. I called number back today as i missed the call and it rang once then was silent. I am sick of them calling!
Been getting calls from this number for over two months now, which I get two back to back as they call my residential number and then my fax line as well. On several occasions did answer and request that they stop calling me, all they do is hang up and hours later, they are calling again. Finally I had enough and I tried calling this Direct Energy at their offices in Edmonton, number listed online, out of service. Tried every other number associated with them, all put you thru to some call center in the States. No way to directly contact anyone with customer service, so finally I pressed what ever numbers on their automated system it took to get to where I could sign up as new customer. Finally a human voice on the end of the phone! Explained the situation and the fellow I spoke to said I should not be getting such calls since I don't even have an account with Direct. Took both my numbers and the number of these [***] in Florida and said he will pass this on to management and profusely apologized for the harassment these calls have been provoking. Advised him there was hundreds of complaints online on numerous sites expressing the same issues as I had advised him of, he seemed surprised and said he would note that as well. Dunno for sure if this has done the trick to stop the calls coming here, but maybe if enough people call in and complain maybe it will end.

This number has been calling my house 3-4 times a day for weeks now. Anyways. Long story short. Someone finally answered when I said hello twice. Said she was with AGR bla bla Direct Energy something or other. She tried to get the name of the person in the household who deals with the gas and energy. No way sucker!! I'm not telling you [***]!
