I got a robo call at 10:30pm saying you Credit Union card has been locked. Then the message said enter your 16 digit card number to unblock the card. I immediately hung up the phone. I called the credit union afterwards and the stated the card was not locked and it was a scam to obtain your card number.
All red flags around this. Autodialer reports as being a mastercard security service, no normal DTMF IVR codes work to 'get to an operator'. Asks for PII, the voice modulation is piss poor.
THIS IS A SCAM. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THEY CALLED ME AT 4 AM MY TIME. JUST AWFUL. WE HAVE AN ELDERLY PARENT SO THIS WAS SCARY TO GET A CALL OUT OF A SOUND SLEEP. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE. AUTOMATIC CALL SAYS THAT MY MASTERCARD DEBIT CARD HAS BEEN COMPROMISED AND I SHOULD PRESS #1 TO PROVIDE INFO. WE DO NOT HAVE A MASTERCARD DEBIT CARD. BEWARE.
suspicious robo call stating that my credit union account was compromised. I do not have an account with a credit union. SCAM!!!!!! I hung up before being spoken to after being asked for input. DO NOT GIVE THIS NUMBER YOUR INFORMATION!!!
