You are either an emergency contact listed by someone that uses their service, or you use their service and are late paying your bill. They have never called me other than to remind me a bill was due after my father passed away and it was his residence that the system was protecting. A simple courtesy call letting me know I overlooked paying them. He had his bill payment set up through his bank account, now that he has passed away, I have taken over paying the bill and have missed paying it a couple times. They will cancel his contract with a death certificate, however we have kept it active since the home is not occupied.
We have this security system and it is amazing, we know when our power went out, when our power turns back on, We can check and see who has came into the house with their code , We know when the furnace is out, or if the kids are cooking and smoke as arisen from it. We get emails letting us know everything. when someone comes in or left. Yes the price is not cheap but it is a great system and we feel safe.
Vivint is my alarm company. They just attempted to call me to let me know we had a power outage in our area. All of you who are complaining should contact your friends and family to see if you are their emergency contact.
This company does a great job of communicating to me via text, email and phone calls whenever there is an event that could limit my security system.
I have Vivant. I really like them. I saw the number on my cell phone, and I didnt recognize it, so I did a search and that's why I'm on this page. Turns out we had extremely bad weather at the house where the Vivant alarm is located, and they were just making sure that we knew about it. Vivant is not bogus, they are legit, and I am grateful to have an account with them. They deliver top-notch service.
