You are either an emergency contact listed by someone that uses their service, or you use their service and are late paying your bill. They have never called me other than to remind me a bill was due after my father passed away and it was his residence that the system was protecting. A simple courtesy call letting me know I overlooked paying them. He had his bill payment set up through his bank account, now that he has passed away, I have taken over paying the bill and have missed paying it a couple times. They will cancel his contract with a death certificate, however we have kept it active since the home is not occupied.
I received two calls from Vivent at this number at 6:30 a.m. I did not answer but the message said they were calling the police. Vivent is the new name for APX security. Right after these two calls I received a call from 801-2216-5232 and the message said something about if you want to report a false alarm call---or whatever.
These calls were all on April 20, 2011. Last night at 10:30 p.m. I received a call from Vivent at 801-2272-7000. I called them back and you must press one button after another. Finally a voice said to wait on the line for a live person. So I waited and waited and waited. No music or anything. I finally just hung up knowing I would never get to speak to anyone. They do have a recording to refer you to call 802-216-5232. I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau for shoddy business practices. I long ago had my phone number listed in the do not call listing. They not only call but they call early in the morning and wake me up and they call late at night after I have gone to bed. They should have THEIR PHONE DISCONNECTED!!!
This is from APX security in the states. I do not have an alarm system from them, however, my sister does and i'm on the call list for emergency alarms.
This number is for Vivint Inc. formerly APX Alarm, this is the number they use when dialing out from customer support and monitoring. Generally if your receiving a call from this number you have an alarm system with them or someone you know has put you down as an emergency contact and their alarm system went off.
Its a Alarm Co., trying to get a hold of you when your alarm is set off. Good company...They just want to get a hold of you to see if somebody robbed your house. They will not leave a message, because of security reasons.
