I received a call from #801-266-1717, Cameron Lott, of Thomas, Thomas, Witcherman and Associates LLC called me with a frightening message for my former husband's daughter. He knew my name and address, and all about me, and was very persistent that he must speak to my former daughter-in-law immediately, or have her call back before nightfall, regarding a situation involving her directly that she is completely unaware of what she is involved in, case file #147789-VA. He gave a call-back #855-600-1017. Again, he stated that he must speak with her tonight, as if her life was in danger. I have not seen her for over ten years and did not have any way to contact her. I researched the phone numbers, and found that TTW is a collection agency posing as lawyers:

I called my local Sherriff's Dept and played the message for them. The Deputy stated that this is just another way that a collection agency can force someone to pay a bill, even if it is not owed by that person. Many in my area have received similar calls. SCAM ALERT!! Do not call them back, they will try to force you to pay an erroneous bill.
Got a call twice from this number. They were exactly 3 weeks apart. Let message saying they had an important message for Javier A... regarding a pressing situation on someone else.
On this first call (2/3), I called back saying there was no such person as this number and to remove me from their calling list. Apparently, they're not too "smart" to do that.
I did more research on that suspicious number. It belongs to a legitimate company. The correct name is Thomas, Thomas, Wichterman & Associates LLC. It's a Customer Service & Collections company located in Murray, UT.
Apparently someone gave them my cell phone # and now they're for looking for Javier and his sister!!
So it's not some sort of scam but it's still annoying to get calls pertaining to someone else.
Got a call from this number. The guy (Mr Penman) said he was calling about my credit card and when I told him I don't own a credit card. He proceeded to tell me to man up and pay my bill, that I know it's my bill. So of course I went off on him. I called the number back, and talked to his boss and he said that that guy is, to put it bluntly, "a prick" ... this is from the "Boss" what the hell kind of company allows their employees talk to anyone like that. Regardless if they are a collections group. The dude didn't even attempt to varify who he was talking too. Complete jack [***]!

Someone called claiming to have important information about a family member. It ended up being a collection agency trying to track down someone with my same last name. The guy was nice and promised not to call again.
