These folks are from the Living Scripture DVD company. I found them through a free DVD offer they had on facebook. The call is to try and upsell videos.
Just to be clear, The Living Scriptures is not a company of the LDS Church. They do offer videos related to LDS scriptures, but it's just a company that offers religious videos.
The company giving away the videos are not the church but a company that produces and distributes the videos. Also if it was the church the people would be polite during the call or if someone returned a call. Of course, they are human and make mistakes. There are those who have chosen to take a different path in life that does not represent the principles that are taught in the church just as those of other religions do. If you are getting someone that hangs up it is most likely it is a phoney company trying to take advantage of those who may fall for their scams unfortunately.
