I started receiving calls from this number a few months ago. I generally don't answer to unknown numbers, and they would never leave a message. Well one day they did, and all that the message was was the sound of a fax machine. Same thing happened when I tried calling the number back, just the sound of a fax machine blaring back into my ear. The calls have been starting to come in more and more. There was one day this week that they literally called me 5 times in a row within a 2 minute time frame, and those were just their first few calls of the day. If this continues I am going to look into harassment charges. It is very annoying and disruptive. How would they like it if someone did what they do to everyone back to them? GRR!!!
My call was for a debt owed to a Doctors Office... However, I requested proof that the debt was valid, and gave them my address 3 times and never received any info... So I am not sure if it was a scam or if it just wasn't worth their time to actually mail me anything.
I had been getting calls from that same number for a couple of days. Didn't want to answer it because I didn't know who it was and they wouldn't leave a message. Finally one day I was tired of the number calling me so I answered it. My phone call was immediantly transfered to an automated service only to be told that all circuits were busy and to call again later!!
I immediantly called the number back and talked to some guy. He was really rude on the phone. He knew my name (connecting it with my phone number) and told me that I had a debt from a last year's doctor bill. He stated my insurance that I had used for payment of the doctor bill and said that it wasn't paid in full and the doctor had to claim it as uncollectable. I gave him my address and told him to bill me. He asked when I was to receive my next paycheck (very put off by the question). I haven't received anything yet.
THIS NUMBER GOES TO AN AUTOMATIC DIALER SYSTEM. CALL 1-801-741-8974 OR 1-866-571-9567. THAT IS THERE MAIN NUMBERS AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY WERE CALLING AND REMOVE THE NUMBER IF IT IS WRONG OR NOT THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR :)
