I started receiving calls from this number a few months ago. I generally don't answer to unknown numbers, and they would never leave a message. Well one day they did, and all that the message was was the sound of a fax machine. Same thing happened when I tried calling the number back, just the sound of a fax machine blaring back into my ear. The calls have been starting to come in more and more. There was one day this week that they literally called me 5 times in a row within a 2 minute time frame, and those were just their first few calls of the day. If this continues I am going to look into harassment charges. It is very annoying and disruptive. How would they like it if someone did what they do to everyone back to them? GRR!!!
thing is I am not the person they want, I talked to the people and told them I'd had the phone for 2 years and I am not that person. I wrote the TX AG and copied the other person's legal case info in an email to them on their own site. If that doesn't work I am going to start counting calls and get a lawyer. I am so tired of it. 11:00 every day. I know who the debtor really is and I have heard her name from a handful of creditors, in fact she had at least one maybe 2 boyfriends and I get calls for all three. I could scream!
hell ya! they fuqin ahsholes. i want to pay off the debt in full and they still being jerqs about it. according to them my incident happened in 09 and never received a letter or phone call from the dr(i was thinking insurance paid). all sudden 2 yrs later it pops up in my credit. its like wtf wait 2yrs? if i was contacted, i would have immediately assumed my responsibility. the fact that i never and until this date have not received any notice i believe if im willing to pay total ammount due it should be deleted from my credit.. in the past month(since i found out) i have been calling every week and man! even the supervisors and managers are diqs! my opinion is. do not pay them b/c even if u do ur credit SCORE will not improve. im tired of me calling them and im just going to wait a few months til it goes to another collection agency who was better custumer support. note. these ppl are so mean and try to intimidate you. i shut the managers off by saying " hey you dont talk to me like that, i know the FDCPA and you better stop" and man you can tell he got pis*ed off but he cooled it off and i plan on calling the client wich is the doctor and hopefully i can work something directly with them since once its with collections, theres not much they can do.
just received a call on my cell phone from this number - asking for Marie or Maria Alvarez - it was an electronic voice, not a live person... claimed they would remove my number from their database since I don't know that person... we'll see!!!
