I received a call from 801-374-7056 and it is government main number all of Utah no matter what division they are calling from. They did leave a message clearly stating what they are calling about.
This one was the Utah State Tax Commission. There was no rudeness from them at all.
They called twice this morning, no message. When I called back, just a busy signal like everyone else. When I did a search, I found a number for a Scott Smith at an "adjacent address" in Provo, and he allegedly owns a company called surveypro.com. If this is true, and he is affiliated with this number (801-374-7056), it is not the govenment calling, but a subcontractor, and they do have to take you off the do not call list. Bugs me that these guys have my number. Annoying.
