I received a call from 801-374-7056 and it is government main number all of Utah no matter what division they are calling from. They did leave a message clearly stating what they are calling about.
This one was the Utah State Tax Commission. There was no rudeness from them at all.
It is with the Department of Workforce Services-utah following up on a Unemployment claim, services applied for etc. They are not a scam nor all they after you for anything they are just in need of further information to help you if you applied for help from them .
I have received a half dozen of these calls and they hang up on me. I once received a call from them and talked to a person saying they were from the Dept. of Health. They then started asking me personal questions. I promptly told them I will not answer the questions and hung up on them. I guess they are getting me back or are being paid by each connection they make and as soon as they make one they hang up....or they are simply harassing me.
I am now logging their calls and plan to take appropriate action. When I prove they are harassing me, I win and they pay....Thanks Health Dept. .....Look forward to hearing from you very soon.
