They stared calling yesterday (July 9) and have called 3 times in the past hour. We let the answering machine pick us but instead of leaving a message, there is a very loud dial tone. We are on the do not call list. This is very annoying!
Yes, it is Key Research Services. When I asked, she gave the name of that company -- no attempt to "hide" their identity.
They called to ask about radio-stations in my city, and were able to give frequencies and call-letters of those stations, and to give names of various morning-talk-show radio hosts.
Their survey took about 15 minutes, and the only personal information they asked for was age and first name and postal code.
Obviously, they have been hired to survey people, probably with the intent to change the format of some local radio-station, e.g., "most music, fewest commercials, fewest repeats". They had me listen to snippets of several styles of music (80's oldies, current hip-hop, rock, et cetera) to see which (if any) appealed to me.
Again, trying to research the local AM/FM listening market.
