All toll free numbers have an ACTUAL number behind them. So sometimes the toll free number displays on your caller id because that was from the list that your phone company uses and other times the original physical number displays because your phone company is using a different or updated list then last time.
Man called saying he wanted to talk to me about my alarm system. When I said I didn't have an alarm system he hung up. I wonder if it is someone looking for homes without alarms to break into?
Got a call on my cell phone (!) from this number....a man with an Indian accent asking for <<my late husband's name>> and he said it was about a 'personal business matter' More than a little upsetting...
I got a call from this number yesterday and it was the same as some other people -- some guy with a heavy Middle Eastern accent trying to tell me they've detected some unusual activity on our Windows computer. I immediately told him I was calling the police to report their phone scam, but he didn't understand me -- even after I repeated it. I'm sure he just wanted to "help" me with the problem (riiiiiiiight!!) So I just hung up on him. How dumb do they think people are?
