We got a call from this number and guy wanted our son and said his name was Jake. We have been having drug dealers calling our son at our home number and he would tell us what he wanted other than it was a business matter.
We will not allow these types of calls to come to our son at our home and I told him so.
I have received calls from this number but haven't answered. After reading these posts and doing a Google search, I came across this article: http://www.kutv.com/news/features/gephardt/stories/vid_213.shtml
Be cautious, as this may not be an actual collections agency.
Collection agencies have no remorse. They make a boat load of money calling and hounding.
Lawyers often buy debts and this is how they make their money. Never answer their call on Saturdays. I do not blame you. Also for their personal cell so you can call them all weekend and prank them. I understand paying your debts is very important, but these people do not play by the rules. They make money off each debt collected. There have even been many law offices in Utah that have been sued. Be careful.
It is Express Recovery and if you ask, they will provide the documentation of what is owed, who the original creditor is and dates of service, etc. That is Jake's direct line and he is probably the rep that is assigned to your case.
I just got a call from them to at work. No message left. Since I just called back a number that calls me everyday, and their messages are 5 minutes of nothing, and found out that was a collection site MRS wanting Natalie and I am not Natalie I thought well I'll call this one too because it said Express Recovery on the ID. Got Jake's message and left one that if he calls and wants to tell me in the message who he is or who he wants I will call back, otherwise I will assume it to be the wrong number. As I am typing this he just called back and said he was looking for Natalie. Still not Natalie but thanks to her for giving my phone number.
