Been getting calls from this number for a couple of weeks. Never leaves a message. If I don't know a number, I don't answer it because this is my cell #. I finally got annoyed enough to call back. Convergent Outsourcing (medical debt collections). I asked for the name on the account. Someone named 'Kathy Spencer' had given my phone number for medical service. I told the lady on the phone that I couldn't get my voice to go high enough to be named 'Kathy'. We both laughed and she said that she would remove my number from their system.
This is a debt collector trying to collect on something that is more that 12 years old. It is beyond the statute of limitations and not on my credit record. Check your credit records and just use caller id. If I don't know the number I don't answer and if it is that important they will leave a message. Even then I won't call back I will ignore them.
