I am receiving phone calls from this number. When I answer, the person hangs up. I researched the number and it is an unpublished Verizon number. When you call the number back, a recorded message states: "At the subscribers request, incoming calls are not accepted."
I get at least 3 calls a day from 801-669-4433 in Provo Utah. Why? Why? Why?, no message, just dead air when I do answer. Why? Why? Why? pretty dumb of someone.
I have received 5 - 10 of these a day for the past several days on a new business phone #. I have Verizon Wireless on the phone right now and am filing a complaint. I suggest everyone do the same and they'll disable the account.
Verizon says this *used* to be their # and the person transferred it to another carrier. They don't know who. They said to contact the authorities in Utah for assistance. Since it's Provo, maybe call the police station there and report harassing calls.
The same thing happened to me JUST TODAY, but with a different phone number, a LOCAL number (possibly SPOOFED by/from another line OUTSIDE the U.S.), and you're right, those f**knuts really DO have SOME NERVE, don't they. Don't worry, though. They say that "every scoundrel has its day", and sooner or later...THEY'LL GET JUST WHAT THEY DESERVE...MARK MY WORDS! So, let's keep up the GOOD FIGHT...and "DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP!" Cheers! :-)
