Windows Service Center scam. Said they wanted 149.00 to free my computer of hackers and if I didn't pay, they would block my computer so I couldn't use it.
They called saying they were from a Microsoft Helpline and telling me my computer had problems they needed to correct. They gave me a number to call back (and ask for Alan) at: 1-801-783-1263. Seemed like a scam so didn't do as they asked.
A person named Alan called twice saying he was from Microsoft when I asked him to prove it he gave me my computers cpu# he said our computer was sending warnings about viruses in our computer. My daughter told me it was a scam and I told him I would call him and hang up. This happened a couple of days after my husband got a call from All Time Tech support about our iPad had a virus and our Mac did too he remotely allowed them to fix it and paid $109 also a scam.
