I answered once and said I was at work and couldn't talk. The guy said he would call me back another time, and again called while I was at work. He did mention it was something about making money from home with mastercard/visa. Yeah, right!! I just let it go to voicemail now as I'm sure this is a scam.
The caller stated he was calling "on behalf of VISA and MasterCard". When I asked for my name/number to be removed from his list, he responded, "Why? You don't even know why I am calling. That's what you get for assuming. You are a [***]!"
I doubt VISA or MasterCard would be supporting any such strategy.
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
Got a call on my cell number. Didn't recognize it but I picked up so they wouldn't hear my voicemail. I intended to hang up immediately but I hit the wrong button. Yes, I'm a goof. Anyway, I heard a guy calling me by my actual name and saying 'Helloooo?" Then I found the disconnect button LOL. So I know these fools have my name, which is unnerving.
This idiot named Peter (which I'm sure is not his real name, he sounds foreign) called and asked for me by name. When I said what is this about he started talking and I promptly said I'm not interested. He said "but you don't know what I'm calling about" and I replied I don't care...I'm on the do not call list and he shouted some obscenity into the phone and I hung up. They've been calling several times a day for the last few weeks. I've had to take the phone out in order to prevent the calls. I am disabled and can't walk to the phone easily and to get some idiot like that on the line is very unnerving. I'm 65 and I don't need the stress. Today he called again and I said what is this in reference to...I'm on the do not call list and was about to hang up when he said Maam....MAAM....I'm not selling anything. I am calling because you have an outstanding bill for bladder mesh surgery...." and then I told him "I NEVER HAD BLADDER MESH SURGERY. Why don't you go call your mother? Stop bothering me." and I hung up as my husband lay in the bed laughing. These creeps are rude, bullies, refuse to stop harassing people. I'm going to give them an earful next time they call.
