Just got a call and I didn't answer. They left a recorded message "we will call you later" Gee, thanks! My caller ID showed Salt Lake City UT But we are subscribers to the Star Tribune so after reading these posts I'm thinking that's who it is. MN is great for out-sourcing jobs to other states
Helpful to know who's calling... I've had my go around with the Strib in the past about them calling me about adding service. I threatened to cancel my subscription entirely if they didn't leave me alone. I only get the weekend papers - don't have a desire to clutter my house with the daily paper.
I don't answer the phone if I don't know who's calling - my caller ID only showed Salt Lake City UT. Like I would answer that for a subscription for a Mpls newspaper?
I keep getting these calls atleast once a day. If i answer, its only a recording saying they will try me again. I have yet to get a live person from this phone number and when I call it back, it gives a not in service message. i subscribe to the newspaper too so at least i have some insight as to who it is even though I cannot get a real person on the other side so i can tell them to go fly a kite..
I have been getting calls from this number and there's never anyone there when I pick up, so I have been ignoring them. This morning, I decided to try again, I picked up, it said that i was a verification service and hung up. It was a recording, so I called the number back to see if I could speak to someone. Today, the phone was answered by an automated CUSTOMER SERVICE rep and told me if I wanted to take my number off their call list to please enter it and then verify before hanging up. I was then told they'd remove my number within two business days. we'll see...
