Did someone "promise" you something special that the rest of us don't get?

"What about telephone surveys?
If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry."
This number called at 8:17pm as I was heading to bed. I saw "Survey Sampling" on the CID so I didn't answer. Has anyone actually taken any of these surveys? I won't waste time with it unless I get paid! lol
I have been answering this call so that I could unsubscribe or get on their do not call list; however, there is only a beep after I answer and silence. They have been calling at least 3 times a day for several days now.
