Just got a call from an Out-Of-State number, which I did not answer. As always, I looked the number up here. (800Notes is my go-to place. Thank you all for posting up your experiences.) No message was left, which I think is a Scamarketer's pattern. I am adding this number to my 'Telemarketer' contact, which has a silent ringtone (and is blocked).
I called back and got "this is the national enrollment center" I am on the don't call registry evidently this registry doesn't work. I get alot of unwanted calls
Hung up as I answered. I called back to yell at them but they hung up before I was even connected with an agent. I'll be reporting this to the FCC, but it won't help.
