This is a total scam. Do NOT fall victim and contact the FTC and your State Attorney General's office. They state they are the "National Information Center" and have an address of 2764 Pleasant Road P.O Box 10116 Fort Mill, SC 29078 for any correspondence. There is no known business with this name that operates as debt collection. They also use fake names like Regina Ward and Andrea Foster and call from other VOIP numbers such as 401-495-7021. This is a completely fraudulent group of scam artists and have no legal authority to threaten anyone with court summons. This number has been calling with an automatic message. The name it says the message for is not ours then it goes on to say we need to call back 401-495-7021 and a case number?? No specifics , just the client is willing to settle if we take care of this today otherwise an "order for our appearance" will be issued? Sounds like a scam to me.
I got a call for my niece. It said the usual we have papers to sue you or something. I pressed any key to rectify the matter. I was forwarded to a voice mail box after about 6 rings. I left a message saying she is not at this number and our official response is to F off
My husband got a automatic message asking for me. It said that I had two charges and I need to contact them in order for me to settle it or else they would look for me and arrest me.
one call each day this week also to my sons phone number looking for me. Says calling from processing department two charges pending against me and directs me to another number 401-495-7021 with id number. Since they cant contact me by phone they will actively pursue me at work or residence. When that happens I forfeit rights to settle. no name or any other info on who the company is
