This is a total scam. Do NOT fall victim and contact the FTC and your State Attorney General's office. They state they are the "National Information Center" and have an address of 2764 Pleasant Road P.O Box 10116 Fort Mill, SC 29078 for any correspondence. There is no known business with this name that operates as debt collection. They also use fake names like Regina Ward and Andrea Foster and call from other VOIP numbers such as 401-495-7021. This is a completely fraudulent group of scam artists and have no legal authority to threaten anyone with court summons. In fact, everything they are doing is 100% illegal and hopefully they will pay the price. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/when-debt-collection-illegal-0
Got the same message. They stopped for awhile because I informed them they were leaving threats on my government phone. They started again today. Scam.
Total scam dont call the number they give you. Never give out your personal information. If you were getting sued you would be notified via mail. I would love to punch these scammersin the face
This is a scam that makes fraudulent claims and threats of arrest. I just called them back and let them know I talked to my attorney and he told me this is a SCAM. My attorney said NO REAL ARREST warrants would be used as a warning over the phone. The lady on the other end continued with the same BS so I just told her,her scam will not work on me and called her a F***G C***T 3 X and hung up on her. THIS IS 100% A SCAM MAKING ILLEGAL AND FRAUDULENT CLAIMS.
they called and left harassing threatening voice mail of jail time and asset seizure if i do not call them back and settle a fake payday loan scam. when i called them back they refused their names but claim to be the national information center.. (That is a branch of the US Govt) which they are not.
I filed a state AG and FTC complaint. You should also as well.
They are violating FDCPA and telecom laws
