Illegal telemarketing call. This scammer was offering grant writing assistance.
The US doesn't offer grants to individuals - and definitely not as this moron claimed - to use to pay your bills.
The number showing on my caller ID was a FAKED number - VoIP internet throwaway phone number. No real company hides from the public - only the criminals. Real businesses use working phone numbers - they want people to call them.
I get calls from 802-732-9507 but they leave no message. Caller ID says Consumer Legal.
I do not need help with debts (I have none), if that is what the call is about.
Some company calling me to say they would help me with my "third party debt" whatever that was supposed to mean. She kept at me when I told her I don't have any debt and I don't need your help and I wouldn't qualify for your help if I did. I am a semi-retired physician, my loans are (finally) paid-off, my husband works a good job and we teach our children about how to manage their personal finances and it has actually gotten me to get better with my own if for no other reason than I don't want to seem like a hypocrite, you know, 'do as I say and not as I do'? Well, she was like a dog with a bone and just wouldn't let it go........well you have to have some kind of debt we can help you with, everybody today has debt. Well, there was a time in my life when I could have agreed with this but not today, not after doing our best not to spend on credit and paying our charge cards off every month (boy do they ever hate that), not carrying loans we do not need (I do not, like some people I know require a new car every year & lease my cars to make this easier to do regardless if it cots me & all this time all she keeps saying is you have to have debt. I finally told her again we wouldn't qualify for your program if we did......she says 'Oh, you don't qualify'..............Caller was VERY rude the entire call almost like she was looking for a fight and with my Irish personality, a temper that's a little too quick for some......

Got another call form this number. No voice when I answer, I listen for a minute then it hangs up. If the caller is a person, they are wasting their time and mine. When I see this number on my caller ID now I won't PU again. I have been on the DO NOT CALL list for a few years. Yet I still receive nuisance spam calls offering bogus contest prizes and trying to sell me all kinds of junk I have no interest in and will NEVER buy. I don't mind answering a legit survey but I refuse to give out ANY credit card info, social security numbers, or even my name and address if they don't already have it. Sales people and robo calls are out of luck w me and I consider such calls an annoying intrusion. I will report and file complaints against spam callers.
