Recieved a text message from whoever this is, and they somehow knew my name. When I sent a reply, they sent back a message saying to add them on Y! Messenger. This, my friends, is spam. And for all I know, a scam as well. Boycott the number.

I received the same type of text message from this number. When I replied stating I don't have Y! Messanger, their response was "sry I have no signal ;(". Tried calling the number but no answer. Definitely seems like spam/scam of some kind.
I received a text from this number that just said "hey dee". I asked who it was and they asked to add me on that messenger thing. My only solution is that they've gotten our numbers from Facebook or some other social network. Remove your cell numbers!!!
