That address comes up also as Sanville Larry Carpentry Service on MerchantCircle.com. Which probably means the scam artist are masking their true location because the phone number to this business is different.
Hell yeah, they can genarate fake numbers to trick you into picking up and not being able to call them back too. One time my caller id for the incoming call was 000-000-0000 and i laughed my [***] off or they generate a local number with your same area code.
Just got an automated call on my cell phone and it also stated it was about the expiration of my vehicle warranty (which I don't have. And I don't have Progressive Ins. either). I did a reverse phone directory inquiry and it showed this number as some woman up in Vermont, but maybe that was an old listing(?). Guess for now I'll ignore it as this was the first time it has happened.
The same thing just happened to me and I do not have progressive for my insurance. I have never asked them for a quote either but it does not mean my wife didn't. I will have to ask her.
I hung up on them immediately since I don't know anyone in Vermont.
