We shouldn't call these things back...when they get a live person they sell your number as a "good" number to other market firms. They also do this when you press the option to remove you from their list. I get about 10 calls a day and let them all go to voice mail.
I got a call from the same number as everybody else 802 848 7489. I don't answer unknown calls (no voicemail) and when i googled- i was led here. This is the first time i've received this type of call. Is there a place to report and/or block this number from calling my cell phone??
A very confusing set of circumstances. I got this call on my cell yesterday. Same story, missed the call, called back, number is unavailable. The worst part is that I live in Hawai'i (well, obviously that's not the bad part), but I am from Vermont. With a couple of sick grandparents, I figured it was a cell number from a family member with bad news. I called and woke my dad (in Vermont) to see if he knew the number, he had no idea what was going on. I am glad I found this site though. I have uncles in Richford Vermont that I was going to send to that address. Thank God they didn't go and beat some clown senless who had his phone number pirated! I do know they call dad all the time. He strings them along saying he needs the warranty, they get all excited until he says it is for his "winter" car. A 1990 Saab with 250K miles on it! They just hang up and call later.
