they called here saying they were jefferson capital financail and wanted to verify my name and address .i told them what do you want and they just hung up
I returned the call, was left on hold for severeal minutes. Then, some guy by the name of "Thomas" answered the phone and said he was with "Conversion Outsourcing, Inc". Whe I repeated the name, he just hung up the phone???!!
called and ask for me. He said he was from 'Convergent financial'. when I told him that I never heard of them, he then wanted me to 'verify' my address and other personal info by telling him. I advised him that if he had a 'file' on me, he has this and he can tell me what he has and I will then tell him if it is correct - he didnt want to do that, it was not their 'proceedure'. I told him I do not give any personal information out to ANYONE over the phone and he can send something in writing to the address he has on 'file' and I will handle the matter in writing if it concerns me.
