they called here saying they were jefferson capital financail and wanted to verify my name and address .i told them what do you want and they just hung up
These idiots call day and night from multiple numbers. They are trying to collect $20k from a credit card that was opened by some jerk that stole our identity in 1996. The bank doesn't even exist and this is the 7th group to buy it. When I asked for an address to send legal paperwork too "Kelli Smith" toldme SC law does not allow them to give out the info. All our calls are recorded when you tell them you are also recording they freak.
Rubbish. This is federal law. The next time they call, demand their mailing address again. If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get this information for you and you will see them in court.
A collection agency. They've bought old debt, really old debt and are trying to get you to admit it's yours. I believe they're calling me about a payday check cashing loan.
