They called and left message my ss# was suspended. I called back and man with Indian accent said it was suspended fue to multiple criminal convictions when I lived in Texas. I needed to call them and explain my criminal history and verify personal info to clear up the matter. When I stated that I have never lived in Texas and have no criminal history he became very nasty and said he would tell me when I could and could not speak. I told him I wanted to speak with a supervisor and was recording. He then said this was a federally recorded call and anything I said would be used against me. I then said then I am hanging up and calling ss fraud. I did, they said tgey dont operate that way. He called 4 mire times today
Received two calls from this number today. Second one stated this was the last reminder call and told to call there because my social security number has been suspended.
C'mon people, your SS # has been "suspended"??? O M G Ain't no such animal!! These scammers don't have a CLUE how things work in the good ol' USA!! Just DO NOT ANSWER NUMBERS YOU DON'T KNOW. And for heaven's sake, don't believe everything you hear, especially from someone who cold calls you.
I never answered the call as it was an unfamiliar number, usually I don't get messages left but today there was a message. I knew immediately this was a scam and that is why I am reporting it here. Id love to see these idiots get caught.
