One would think that being a CA number calling to another CA number that 5:52 a.m. is not an appropriate time to call unless in an emergency situation which clearly this is not. Now, at 7:09 a.m. this number is ringing on my phone again and therefore getting added to my block list A.S.A.P. I've never had such a persistent unsolicited caller and suspect they will keep at it. Who cares or knows what they are; I do not think it's anything legitimate.
Yes, Max, you hit it right! My book club ladies and I were reading something the night before I started receiving these calls and my best friend had started to fill something out for me (I told her she could) and when we saw that they wanted credit card info. we quickly closed the page. Fortunately, we had only filled out information that is public record with the exception of an email address which will probably get routed to my SPAM folder anyway but yes, this served as a good lesson and reminder. I too hope as someone else mentioned that reading these comments will prevent them from entering any financial data. Thank you again for putting the pieces together!
Apparently, they use this scam for all kinds of products. I wasn't looking to buy what you were. I was just looking to order some weight loss pills. After finding everyone's messages, I immediately blocked them.
