Called at 9:30 PM eastern time some b_tch with a bad accent calling about my computer problem that she was with a company sounded like ICC. I said that I work for Microsoft and I never heard of her company she than hung up.
This is a scam to repair your computer. They have called me several times. This time they called at 8:00 AM.
If you redial this number 808-539-1071, it will say the number has been disconnected! If you tell the callers to take your number off of their "call list" they will hang up and call you back another time. Do Not give them any personal information as this is a direct route to Identity Theft. If your computer needs to be fixed, call the "Geek Squad" or a similiar service in your area that will come to your home, if you are not able to take your computer to a legitimate repair store.
Since when does Honolulu HI call at 9 am EST. That's like 3 or 4 in the am there. I won't answer if I don't recognize the number, so I have no clue what they're calling about. Apparently the do not call list isn't worth a hill of beans. Just sayin'.
I got a call from this number and a few hours later from another number...309 340 9297 with the caller ID of SSE LGM, which, when I looked it up, was from the same kind of scammers as Grandmother has already described. I think they just keep calling from different numbers until you finally answer. Best advice is to only answer numbers you know.
The 'Do not call list' managed via the FTC is a JOKE as well as any state 'Do not call" program. I have entered my phone number numerous times yet I keep getting these fraudulent calls. Your Government hard at work doing nothing except BS-ing all of us.
