Who called from 8088009936

I was just  contacted by this person as they said they were moving to my area from Hawaii and would like my pet care for 30 an hour. For everyone else that has gotten contacted by this person, did they do anything to scam you?? I haven't given any personal information so just wondering!

And she told me her name was Shannon with a one year old golden retriever.

I have received the same message October 2nd.  It is similar to other callers, and I live near Grimsby, Ont.  Her is the message:  Hello, My name is Shannon. I am currently in Hawaii and in the process of moving to your area.  I picked interest in you after going through your profile on Kijji. I will like to have you as my pet sitter to take care of my Golden Retriever 1 year old outdoor/indoor dog, starting from 10th of October.  I am willing to pay $30.00 per hour 9am-1pm Mondays-Thursdays or 9am-4pm Saturdays and Sundays.  You can send me an email confirming your interest with your resume/references to [email protected] for more details. Thank you.......After I emailed her and told her I wanted to speak on the phone she emailed me back and advised she was hearing impaired and could only text or email.  If only I had checked out this site before I emailed her. Never respond to this person.

TWO typical red flags of the scammer --- 1. hearing impaired and  2. Gmail address ( not to mention $30 per hour).

Thanks MJG...not sure if I report it to the police is there is anything that they can do.
