This number called a few times I answered today and a woman with heavy accent called me by my first and last name and said YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR TIME SHARE RIGHT? I said No I don't, she said something nasty and hung up. I guess to get on to the next call. The do not call list is a joke,
I have a simple way to deal with idiots who call like this. All of my phones are on multiple DO NOT CALL lists so I know these jerks are violating various laws by making these calls. Not only do they not care, but the FCC and the various state attorneys general are not all that good about tracking down these telemarketers and fining them. So, here is what I do. It takes a good pair of lungs and willingness to use them. I answer the call, and when the telemarketer is in the middle of his initial speech I say, very simply, "This phone is on a do not call list and this is what happens to a$$holes like you who call it." I then let out a blood curdling scream right into the phone that is loud enough and high pitched enough that it will blow out the persons ear drums. Usually they hang up right away and never call back. However, sometimes this gets them angry and they call back. Anticipating this, I flip the phone over to await the call back, so the earpiece is not next to my own ear (in case they try to scream back into my phone) but is located beneath my chin. Then, as soon as I answer the call back, I let out an even louder scream right back into the phone. I have never had anyone call back more than once after this treatment. It works.
Just recieved a call from this number 3 times today when I told the person on the line to not call me again that this was the third time that they had called me he said in his thick accent voice I have not called you today, I replied yes you have and he had the nerve to ask me if I speak English he did not call me, did I not not understand.
These people from Backbone Community are driving me insane. They call numerous times a day, and at all hours of the day or night!!!! I have asked over & over for them to stop calling me to no avail. This past week I have been trying to get a # that I can call to get taken off their call list & they just hang up on me. When I try to call this # back, it rings once & then states that it is disconnected!!!! I'm really fed up with them, but don't know what to do!!!! Thanks for letting me vent!!!
