This is a scam. They use scare tactics to get people to pay them money to "avoid going to jail" when the people receiving these calls have done absolutely nothing wrong and are in no danger of going to jail. Unfortunately, it has worked on people, especially elderly people. These scammers are horrible, horrible people.
I believe this is a collector. Harassing, unprofessional, threatening call received from 2 people at this number. Reported to Fraud Dept with the FBI because of the threats they proposed to me over the phone.
This very rude man called me and said that I was going to jail tomorrow and I'd better get a lawyer. I have never heard of this man or the company the was talking about. He had an Indian accent and talked very fast. I asked him to slow down so that I could understand him. He would not tell me what company he was with or what he wanted. he just tried to scare me so I hung up and he had my ssn.
we have had this person call my girlfriend and say that she is going to jail because she has commited fraud they said that they have her driving lic. and ssn and email address and she better get a lawyer if knot they are going to come and arrest her and it really upset her and even made her cry because she though she was going to go to jail i told my girlfriend that she wont begoing to jail because you haven't commited fraud so i told them the next time he call he will be talking to the police and that didn't even work because they are still calling her and harrasing her.
