Just received a call from this morning, today (10.8.09). It was Progressive Insurance (Auto) with regard to my policy. They explained the reason for the call and stated the call was being recorded for "quality purposes" only. Then, asked if it was ok that the call was being recorded; to which I replied, "No." They stated that they could not speak with me since they couldn't record the call. I then asked; "Since I don't want the conversation recorded, will my policy be interrupted or canceled?" The lady then said, "I can no longer speak with you since the call can't be recorded." Insurance companies REALLY have a racket going. They should be investigated for "racketeering." Surprising what one might find. Eh?
