I just received a call from this number on Saturday, 11/26/16 at 0909 hrs. and no voice-mail message was left. Caller ID displayed 'TAMPA, FL' and nothing more. Since I was not expecting a call from this area code nor do I even know anybody from or do business with any organization in Florida, LA, the call was rightfully ignored. Besides, the majority of legitimate businesses/organizations will usually leave a voice-mail message and I am sure that none are actually working during this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend...sheesh!
Further internet research discloses that this number 813-533-5685 is a phone number which some others have reported as an ‘Unsafe Caller’ aka SPAM and it has been linked to callers claiming to represent a Crescent Bank & Trust and posing under the guise of a collection agency.
Since all of my accounts are current and I do not/have never done business with a Crescent Bank & Trust, like the others, I too believe that this call was suspicious. In addition, this past week and nearly everyday, I have received ‘bogus’ calls from Louisiana, Georgia, Washington, D.C., and now from Florida from different telephone numbers all claiming to represent a Crescent Bank & Trust and none ever bother to leave a voice mail message...pfft!
