Called, when I answered they hung up. I tried calling back multiple times. Busy. When I finally got a ringing tone, it went to something that sounded like a dial-up internet.
I received a call today from them and they tried telling me they were IMC. Some magazine company and that I won some entry into a drawing for 1 million dollars because I am a valued cardholder with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. They also said that I will be receiving some quartz watch and free subscriptions to three different magazines. I politely told them I don't want or need any magazines or a watch and I asked them to remove me from their list and not call me again. The man's voice completely changed and told me I would be billed $75 for the phone call. Not quite sure how they could do that. I already called my cell phone company and told them what's up, there is no way they can charge a credit card as I didn't give them any information. And if they try to mail me a bill I will take it directly to Navy Legal and have them deal with it.
You can get through if you keep trying. Someone from this number has called my daughter's cell phone multiple times, asking for "Keon" (not sure of spelling). They have been informed several times that this is not "Keon's" phone. Today, my daughter handed me her phone. It was them again. I picked up the phone too late and called back the number. It was busy, but I finally got through. I spoke to a woman who identified herself as "Dillon Ray." I asked her what the name of the company was. She said IMC. I asked her what type of business. She said Visa/MC, but would not elaborate. I asked her what IMC stood for. That's when she turned the tables and asked me why I was asking her. I attempted to explain the problem to her. She replied, "God bless your heart." And hung up on me. I will be researching the owners or officers of this d/b/a or company and will be contacting them. From what I see, there is a finance company in Tampa that does business under the name IMC.
