Just got another call. I get flooded with these about every six months or so - it got so bad that my employer had to change my office phone number and we also went to campus police. Since I work at a state institution, they're violating state laws - but since we can't do anything about them with the phone numbers, there's little to be done.
Today's call was on my cell phone, they can't call my work phone anymore because that number has been deactivated.
Today's call must have thought a voice mail answered, because he spoke as if he left a message on voice mail - and I was to call him back. Very different.
I received a call from 220-355-4990 and a message was left a message to call 813-713-8983 saying I owed money to them from a payday loan. The message stated they were with the FDIC. I called the FDIC main office and asked if it was a scam and was told it was.
They have been calling my work and harassing me and calling from several different numbers. All the phone numbers they have called me from so far are:

I am not sure if all the phone numbers are real or fake but this needs to stop. THis is not the first time I Have had issues with these type of scammers.
They want me to pay money for a past due payday loan and told me he will keep calling my job to get me fired. I talked to an "Adam Smith" and a "Nick Thomas" but they all had foreign accents. They would not send proof of debt but wanted me to pay them and then they would send something stating that I had paid my debt.
One of the phone numbers #973-994-2696 came up on Caller ID with A Limo Srvc Cor. Not sure where they are all coming from but please if you have the time, do something to stop these. I will not fall for this scam but I know others will.
I also recieved a call from this number on my job. I was on hold for 9 minutes. he said his name was George Michael. he got upset quickly. And wanted to speak to my manager... How do you stop these ignorant people?
I got the same message from Adam Smith who has a thick Indian accent. Same deal probably a payday loan company I used that went out of business and sold all their contact info to some unscrupulous people either way it's a scam.
One of my co-workers has been receiving calls from Adam Smith at 813-713-8983 for months. It is a scam and they somehow got most of her personal information. It has been reported to the police.
I RECEIVING A PHONE CALL FROM THIS NUMBER WHO CLAIMED HIS NAMED IS OFFICE SAM JOHNSON FROM THE STATE ATTY GENERAL. HE SAID I OWED HIM 300.00AND I ASKED HIM TO SEND ME SOME TYPE OF DOCUMENT TO SHOW ME THAT I OWE, BUT HE SAID HE CAN'T. HE SAID HE HAVE TO SEND IT TO MY EMAIL. HE KEEP CALLING AND TYING UP THE LINES AT WORK AND HARRASSING MY BOSS AND CO WORKER. I KNOW IT HAS TO BE A SCAM BECAUSE I DON'T BELIEVETHE ATTY GENERAL WOULD CONDUCT BUSINESS LIKE THAT. COULD SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE???????
